WIC is a supplemental nutrition program that provides nutrition and health education, healthy foods, and other services free of charge to Davidson county families who qualify. The goal of WIC is to help keep pregnant and breast-feeding/postpartum women and children under the age of 5 healthy. WIC provides: nutrition counseling and education

breast-feeding promotion and support

vouchers for free healthy foods

referrals for medical and dental care, health insurance, child care and other services that benefit the entire family

immunization screenings and referrals.
